ARLA

The Association of Residential Lettings Agents

Pace Plc is also a licensed ARLA agency. This means we must meet certain standards relating to professional and ethical practice. Under the ARLA rules, agents are required to protect and promote their client's interests, while at all times acting in a fair and proper manner. ARLA membership also means we have to join a client money protection scheme which ensures landlords and tenants are compensated should an agent ever misappropriate funds.

 

 

NAEA

The National Association of Estate Agent

As members of the NAEA, the UK’s leading professional body for estate agency, we are bound to abide by a strict code of conduct. This means you can be sure you are dealing with a qualified, professional and experienced Estate Agent.

 

 

 

SAFE Agent

Pace is an accredited SAFE agent where SAFE stands for Safe Agent Fully Endorsed. This is a mark denoting agencies that protect landlords and tenants money through client money protection (CMP) schemes. A CMP is a scheme which provides compensation to landlords, tenants and other clients should an agent act fraudulently and embezzles their rent, deposit or other client funds. This means Pace offers consumers the financial protection they deserve as well as peace of mind knowing their money is protected.

 

 

Trading Standards

Pace Plc is an approved member of the Consumer Codes Approval Scheme which means we meet the exacting standards required by the TSI. We have agreed to provide excellent standards of service including understandable information before a contract is signed and a clear complaints procedure.

 

 

The Property Ombudsman

As a member of The Property Ombudsman, we follow a strict code of conduct offering additional consumer protection. The public can be confident of our dealings with actual and potential buyers and sellers of residential property or lettings in the UK. All Estate and Lettings agents are required to register with an Agents Redress Scheme that has been approved by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT). The TPO is one of the schemes approved by the OFT.

 

 

Tenancy Deposit Scheme

The Housing Act 2004 requires landlords and letting agents to protect deposits on assured shorthold tenancies. Therefore Pace has chosen to be a member of The Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) which is a government approved tenancy deposit protection scheme in England and Wales operated by The Dispute Service Ltd. This means any deposits paid to us are safely registered and landlords and pace have to be bound by the decision of the arbitrator if there is a dispute over the return of the deposit.

 

 

London Landlord Accreditation Scheme (LLAS)

The LLAS launched on 9 July 2004 as a partnership of London boroughs, landlord organisations and educational organisations to recognise good practice and improve conditions in the private rented sector.

Pace is an accredited member of the scheme and complies with the code of conduct set out by the partnership.

 

 

 

The South East Alliance of Landlords, Agents & Residents (SEAL)

SEAL is an association made up of landlords, lettings agents and tenants which has entered into a formal partnership with Southend-on-Sea Borough Council to improve the standard of accommodation within privately rented properties in the local area. As a member of SEAL, we have also agreed to work at reducing anti-social behaviour (ASB) throughout SEAL member managed properties. SEAL has its own Code of Conduct to follow as well as a complaints procedure in conjunction with Southend Borough Council.

Rightmoves's aim is to be the place for all UK home hunters to find details of all properties available to buy or rent. Their website and mobile platforms provide an easy to use but sophisticated online property search.
